# View links

> A read-only, shareable link to a package's documents, for someone who doesn't need to sign.

A **view link** (`/view/[token]`) gives read-only access to a package's documents, for CC recipients or anyone else who needs to see the file without signing it. Opening it records the view, then shows the documents.

View-only recipients get an email inviting them to view the document, with a **View document** (or **View documents**) button that opens the link.

## What the page shows

* The package's documents, read only, with a tab for each document when there's more than one.
* A **Pages** panel of thumbnails, and a toolbar to zoom, fit to page or width, and move between pages.
* A **Download PDF** button in the header for the document on screen.
* An **Expires in** badge counting down, if the link has an expiry.

## When a link can't be used

An expired or revoked link shows one of these instead of the documents:

* **Link not found**: the link isn't valid. Ask the sender for a new one.
* **This preview link has expired**: ask the sender to send a new one.
* **This link has been revoked**: the sender has revoked access.
