# Members

> Invite and manage the people in your organisation, their roles and pending invitations.

**Members** ("People in your organisation.") lists everyone with access, plus pending invitations.

## Members

Anyone with permission to view members can open this page. A seat count sits above the table. **Invite member** opens a dialog to set an **Email address** and a **Permission profile**, plus a **Workspace** when your organisation has more than one. If the email belongs to someone already in your organisation, the dialog says so and they're added to the chosen workspace straight away, with no email. It is disabled at your plan's seat limit. Only an [Owner](#owner) can invite members.

</Frame>

The table lists **Email**, **Role** (permission profile, with an owner badge for owners) and **Joined**. Once anyone has been deactivated, a filter above the table switches between **Active**, **Deactivated** and **All**. Members provisioned by your identity provider carry its name as a tag; change their access in the identity provider instead.

</Frame>

* Members with permission to manage members can switch a non-Owner to another profile (**Make** followed by the profile name) or **Remove** them.
* An Owner can also **Make owner** or **Revoke owner**, **Deactivate** or **Reactivate** a member, and **Delete account**.

You can't act on your own row.

## Owner

Owner is a built-in role that sits above every workspace. An Owner can do everything in every workspace, plus organisation-wide tasks such as inviting members, billing and security. While someone is an Owner, their workspace role has no effect. See [the Owner role](/guides/settings/roles-and-permissions#owner) for the full list.

### Make or revoke Owner

Only an existing Owner can make someone an Owner or revoke it. Open the member's actions menu and choose **Make owner** or **Revoke owner**, then confirm. Every change is recorded in the audit log. Someone whose Owner is revoked keeps their workspace role.

<Warning>An organisation must always have at least one active Owner, so the last one can't be revoked. Keep at least two, so one person leaving never locks your organisation out.</Warning>

### If every Owner has left

If nobody in your organisation is an Owner any more, [contact Flowsign support](/guides/account/support) to recover access.

## Delete a member's account

Only an Owner can delete another member's account. Open the member's actions menu and choose **Delete account**. If they own packages, choose an active member to take them over. Type their email address to confirm. **Deactivate** works the same way for their in-flight packages, and a deactivated member can be reactivated later.

Their profile and sign-in methods go straight away, and they are signed out everywhere. Their audit history stays in anonymised form, and the deletion itself is recorded with who was deleted and who received their packages. You can't delete your own account here, or the last active Owner.

<Warning>Deleting an account can't be undone. To stop someone signing in but keep their account, deactivate them instead.</Warning>

## Pending invitations

A separate table lists invitations sent but not yet accepted, with each one's **Email**, **Role** and when it **Expires**. Members with permission to manage members can revoke one, after which the invitation link stops working.
