# Install the app

> Add Flowsign to your computer or phone so it opens in its own window, with its own icon.

Flowsign can be installed straight from your browser. The installed app opens in its own window with its own icon on your desktop, dock or home screen, and it is the same Flowsign you use in a browser tab: same account, same data, always up to date.

> There is nothing to download from an app store. Your browser installs the app, and you can remove it at any time the same way you remove any other app.

## Where to install from

There are two places to start an install:

* **The install card.** A card titled **Get Flowsign App** appears at the bottom of the screen once you have been working for a little while. Select **Install**, or **Show me how** if your browser needs you to follow a couple of steps.
* **The sidebar menu.** Open the menu on your name at the bottom of the sidebar and choose **Install app**.

Closing the card hides it for 30 days. **Install app** stays in the sidebar menu in the meantime.

## Install by browser

**Chrome and Edge**

On Windows, Mac and Linux, select **Install** on the card and confirm in the browser's prompt.

If no prompt appears:

1. Open the browser menu, or click the install icon at the right of the address bar.
2. Choose **Install Flowsign**.

**Android**

1. Open the browser menu.
2. Choose **Add to Home screen**.

**iPhone and iPad**

1. Tap **Share** in the browser toolbar.
2. Choose **Add to Home Screen**, then tap **Add**.

**Safari on Mac**

1. Open the **File** menu in Safari's menu bar.
2. Choose **Add to Dock**, then click **Add**.

## If you can't see an install option

* **You are using Firefox.** Firefox can't install web apps. Open Flowsign in Chrome, Edge or Safari and try again.
* **Flowsign is already installed.** The card and the **Install app** menu item are hidden once the app is installed, and while you are using the installed app.
